Design Review Consultation

Our design review consultation delivers a disciplined, engineering‑led evaluation of drawings, specifications, and process plans to ensure manufacturability, weldability, and readiness for automated production. We perform a comprehensive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) assessment alongside focused Design for Automation (DfA) analysis to identify opportunities to simplify part geometry, reduce tolerance sensitivity, minimize fixturing complexity, and eliminate unnecessary fabrication steps. This integrated approach considers material selection, joint configuration, weld sequence, access for tooling and inspection, and fit‑up tolerances to reduce fabrication risk and improve first‑pass yield.

We evaluate designs against applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications, and quantify the impact of proposed changes on cycle time, labor content, consumable usage, and total cost of manufacture. Our team develops prioritized, actionable recommendations and produces validated revisions—updated drawings, weld procedure adjustments, fixture concepts, and automation‑ready tooling designs—supported by FEA where required, mockups, or pilot runs to confirm performance and assembly ergonomics.

Deliverables include a design review report with redline recommendations, manufacturability and automation readiness scores, cost‑impact analysis, and an implementation roadmap that sequences design changes, qualification activities, and supplier coordination. By embedding DFM/DFA and DfA principles early, we optimize product architecture to lower rework and scrap, ensure code and regulatory compliance, reduce production cost and lead time, and streamline the manufacturing handoff for reliable, scalable fabrication.
